Meet CREW Pittsburgh Member, La'Taunja Martin Cooper, Martila Enterprise LLC!

What role do you play in the commercial real estate industry?
Using my skillsets and real estate knowledge I plan to contribute within the community and economic space. I aim in assisting minority businesses with support and guidance on acquiring space; whether leasing or acquiring. This will assist clients in expanding their business and closing in the wealth gap.
How did you get started in your current position?
Prior to starting my company Martila Enterprise; I worked as a construction project manager at UPMC and I have held various engineering roles in DOD/DOE Industry prior to acquiring my real estate license in 2020. I wanted to marry my construction and engineering skills with real estate to help small contracting companies with project management practices for their businesses; to get the owner working in his business but on his business from a management perspective. Martila Enterprise was formed in 2021; since formation we have assisted clients such as Bridgeway Capital BID Program in their Pittsburgh office and upcoming Erie office.
What personal values have shaped your career?
Integrity, team work and efficiency.
Where have you travelled? Where do you wish to travel?
One of my favorite destination is Montreal, Canada. I am targeting Ghana and Senegal Africa within the next year.
