Speaking up with Confidence: Self Advocacy in Commercial Real Estate

In this session, we’ll get real about what it takes to speak up with confidence, especially in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Whether it’s asking for support, pushing back on unrealistic deadlines, or simply making your voice heard, self-advocacy is a skill every woman deserves to have in her toolbox.

This workshop blends real-world scenarios with interactive exercises to help participants:

• Recognize what holds them back from speaking up (internally and externally)

• Use a simple communication tool to make their message land

• Set boundaries and make requests without second-guessing themselves

• Leave with practical scripts and mindset shifts they can use right away

It’s a powerful mix of reflection, skill-building, and encouragement…all designed to help women in commercial real estate stand their ground and thrive, without losing themselves in the process.

The mission of Dress for Success is to help unemployed and underemployed women achieve economic independence by providing no-fee programs, development tools and professional attire to thrive in work and in life.
